KHS seniors have made their marks on the high school in various ways. Over the last four years, students have helped to grow the Performing Arts at KHS. From band and orchestra to choir and drama, these are some of the seniors who will be missed next year.

Samuel Baity
Sam has been a part of the KHS performing arts since his freshman year, participating in both band and choir. He has played tuba and trumpet for the band and sang for the vocal jazz group. After graduation, Sam will attend Ball State with a major in zoology. 

Kendra Berry
Kendra has played the flute for the KHS concert band program since her freshman year. She has also been a member of the marching band in the percussion section. Kendra has played in the symphonic band and the percussion ensemble. Her favorite part of being in the band program was traveling to other schools to perform. Kendra will continue her education at Ivy Tech. 

Kamryn Booher
Kamryn has played the oboe as a part of Kokomo Bands for seven years, participating in the concert band and wind ensemble. Her favorite part of being in the performing arts was learning about new cultures through music and challenging herself every day. Kamryn will attend IUK in the fall as an environmental science major with a minor in music. 

Tyler Born
Tyler has played the trumpet for Kokomo Bands since freshman year. He has played in the freshman band, wind ensemble, and beginning and advanced percussion classes. His favorite parts of being in the band program were making friends and memories. Tyler plans to attend IU Bloomington for Sports Media.

Elizabeth Breedlove
Elizabeth has been a member of the color guard since her freshman year, participating in both summer marching guard and winter guard with multiple solos. Her favorite part of being in color guard was having a positive community of people to rely on and perform with. Elizabeth will attend Ball State University for Architecture and Planning.  

Nathan Carpenter
Nathan plays the trombone for concert band and the trumpet for marching band during the week and the drums as a part of Judson Road Christian Church’s praise team. He was the 2021 recipient of the John Philip Sousa award. 

Arianna Commons
Arianna began singing in the beginning choir this year. Her favorite part of choir has been the newly found confidence singing daily has given her. After graduation, Arianna plans to take a gap year for work before going on to post-secondary education.

Lydia Emry
Lydia has played the violin for the KHS Orchestra for four years. Her favorite part of orchestra has been being able to play music every day, improving as both a musician and a leader. She has been the concertmaster for the KHS Orchestra since her freshman year, going to state for Indiana State School Music Association solos in 2019 and 2021. Lydia will be attending the University of Vermont as an Environmental Science major. 

Allysson George
Ally has played the flute for the KHS concert band and marching band since her freshman year. Her favorite part of the band program was learning music, and she plans to share that passion with others. In the fall, Ally will attend Ivy Tech for early childhood education. 

Emily Henderson
Emily has been a proud part of the KHS band program since her freshman year, serving as the section leader of “the pit” for her junior and senior years of marching band. She has played clarinet, vibe, marimba, piano, and bass drum for many different parts of the program, including concert band, marching band, indoor winds, and indoor percussion. Emily will attend IUK in the fall. She plans to teach elementary school and give private piano lessons on the side. 

Zavieon Hendrickson
Zavieon has played the baritone/euphonium for Kokomo bands since he was in sixth grade. His favorite part of being in the band program was focus on music. 

Marcus Jones
Marcus has been a valued member of the Kokomo High School band program, playing French horn in marching band, concert band, and indoor winds. His favorite part of marching and indoor winds was being able to compete. After graduation, Marcus will be going into the workforce.

Francis Kidwell
Frannie has played the clarinet for Kokomo bands since sixth grade. She has competed with the marching band and indoor winds group for all four years of high school. After graduation, Frannie will attend Loyola University Chicago to major in mathematics. 

Lauren Lees
Lauren sang for the choir department for three years in the advanced chamber choir. Her favorite style of music to sing in choir was jazz. After high school, Lauren will continue her education at IUPUI. 

Gabrielle Long
Gabby has been a part of the Kokomo performing arts for eight years. She has played the violin for concert band and orchestra, spun flag for the color guard, and sung as a part of Karisma show choir. Her favorite part of being in the performing arts was winning summer competitions with the marching band. After graduating, Gabby will attend Holy Cross of Notre Dame to get her pre-law degree before going to law school. 

Kaitlyn McGraw
Kaitlyn has been in winter guard since her sophomore year and marching band since her junior year. Kaitlyn earned her CNA certification last year with the KACC. 

Evvie Mitchem
Evvie has been in the KHS performing arts during her entire high school career. She sang for the chamber choir, Choraliers show choir, Karisma show choir, and played the violin for orchestra all four years of high school. Her favorite part of being in the performing arts was being around and a part of a talented group of people. Evvie will attend IUK to study biology. 

Brittany Mote
Britt has been a proud member of the drama club since her freshman year. She has taken many classes at KHS to further her acting skills, including Visual/Theatre Arts, Storytelling/Production, and Advanced Acting/Directing. After high school, Britt is going into the workforce. She hopes to work for the Kokomo Civic Theatre to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming an actress. 

Oran Oldaker
Oran will be attending Indiana State University with a major in music education. 

Noah Parslow
Noah has played the alto saxophone for the KHS band program since freshman year. He has participated as a member of indoor percussion and has been a member of the marching band and drama club since his sophomore year. 

Kyle Paul
Kyle has been a member of the choir and the drama club since his freshman year. He has been in KHS plays such as Our Town and The Bald Soprano, as well as participating in Kokomo Civic Theatre’s productions of Mamma Mia! and Willy Wonka. Kyle has been in the advanced chamber choir since his sophomore year. After high school, he will be attending Franklin College to become a high school English teacher. 

Jannessa Reece
Jannessa will attend Ball State for social work. 

Asiah Rogers
Asiah has been in Kokomo bands for five years. She has played the clarinet for the concert band, wind ensemble, and marching band during her four years of high school. Her favorite part of her band experience was getting to play music every day. In the fall, Asiah will be working towards her Bachelor’s in Zoology. 

Hope Russell
Hope has played the clarinet for the advanced concert band all four years of high school. Her favorite part of being in the band program was making memories with new and old friends. After graduation, Hope will enter the workforce. 

Layla Samuel
Layla has been in the KHS performing arts departments for four years. She has played the flute for concert band, symphonic band, and wind ensemble, the violin for the intermediate orchestra, and sang in Karisma Advanced Show Choir. Her favorite part of being in these programs was building relationships and receiving opportunities that made her who she is today. Layla will be attending IUK with a major in psychology.  

Cory Smith
Cory has played the trumpet for Kokomo Bands since his freshman year as a part of the marching band and wind ensemble. His favorite part of being in band was getting to perform with his friends. After graduation, Cory will attend IUK. 

Bryan Stoltzfus
Bryan will attend Tiffin University for exercise science/pre-physical therapy. 

Franceska Walker
Frankie has been a part of the KHS band department for six years, playing the trumpet, French horn, and mellophone in the wind ensemble. She has been a member of the marching band since freshman year. Her favorite part of being in the band program was the people in it and the memories made because of it. Frankie plans to join the Marching Wildkats for one last time this upcoming summer before attending IUK with a major in cellular biology. 

John Wyman
John Paul will be attending IUK in the fall. 

Kya Voght
Kya began singing in the KHS Chamber Choir this year. Her favorite part of being in choir was gaining the confidence to sing out. After graduation, she will pursue her dream of being a gaming YouTuber.
