Senior Send-Off Week kicks off Monday

As the Class of 2022 prepares for their final week of high school, they have several activities to look forward to. Beginning Monday, Student Council is hosting Senior Send-Off Week, a week full of dress-up days to celebrate the end of high school. Monday is Sports Day and Tuesday has been changed to Senior Citizens Day. For Career Day on Wednesday, dress up to show off what you plan to do after high school. On Throwback Thursday, dress as your younger self. Friday gives seniors one last chance to show off their school spirit and senior jeans.

Another activity planned for the week is the Senior Field Day, sponsored by Varsity Club. Senior Field Day has become a tradition over the last three or four years that provides positive nostalgia from elementary school. It’s a great opportunity for seniors to relive elementary recess. Field Day will include water games, kickball, soccer, cornhole, four square, spikeball, hillbilly golf, tug-of-war and other game requests from the seniors.

“Seniors: when you come out, drop the labels and clicks, join those students that you used to be friends with in elementary and middle school,” said Varsity Club sponsor Andy Carpenter. “Bring back the fun memories that you made and above all have FUN!”

This year, Senior Field Day will take place in the afternoon on Tuesday, May 24. Gear Up is sponsoring an ice cream truck for the event.
