Even though the weather is still hot and sticky, the fall sports seasons are underway. From the football field and soccer pitch to the tennis and volleyball courts and golf course, these Kats are working hard to compete for KHS.

This year’s girls’ golf team, led by new head coach Mariah Horner, is just hoping to improve from match to match. With many new golfers this season, the team is motivated to work hard and get better. Since Horner is new this season, she is still working on developing her coaching style.

“I’m still developing but I’m willing to work with each individual player on what they need,” she said.

The football team is looking to pick up their first win of the season tonight against Whiteland. The Kats lost to New Palestine, 35-14, in the season opener last week. The team is keeping themselves motivated to win in front of their home crowd.
