We’ve almost survived the first nine weeks of the 2024-25 school year and it’s safe to say everyone is ready for a break. KHS will have Fall Break the week of Oct. 21-25.

Whether you’re taking a trip or staying in Kokomo, the week off is a good time to enjoy some fall activities. Check out the list below with some of our favorite ideas. 

McClure’s Orchard – 5054 N U.S. Highway 31, Peru, IN 46970
With a variety of activities, McClure’s Orchard is a great place to pick apples or find a pumpkin to carve. Visitors can try their luck in the corn maze or grab a snack at the food trailer. McClure’s also has a bake house and an apple barn to purchase baked goods, cider and fresh apples.

Kendall Family Farm Adventures – 9717 E. 600 N. Greentown, IN
Open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Kendall Family Farm Adventures has activities for people of all ages. They offer hayrides, a corn maze, mini golf, a pedal cart track, playground and farm animals. All activities are included in the price of admission. The farm also has a pumpkin patch, gift shop and concession stand.

Price’s Pumpkin Patch – 3020 W Jefferson St, Kokomo, IN 46901
One of the largest pumpkin patches in Kokomo. Pumpkins range in size, depending on what you want to use the pumpkin for. Price’s also has other fall crafts and decorations for sale, as well as a bonfire going when you need to take a break from finding the perfect pumpkin.

Grissom Maze of Terror – 2251 Randolph St , Peru, IN, United States, Indiana
Maybe scary is more your speed? The Grissom Maze of Terror is open on Fridays and Saturdays in October. Tickets into the haunted attraction are $15 and include zombie paintball. If getting scared makes you hungry, snacks are available for purchase.

Headless Horseman Festival – 13400 Allisonville Road, Fishers, IN 46038
Like getting just a little spooked? Try visiting the Headless Horseman Festival at Conner Prairie. Offering a variety of activities from a live music performances and magic shows to corn mazes and a hay ride to escape the Headless Horseman, there’s so much to do. The Headless Horseman Festival runs from 5pm-10pm Oct. 3-27.
