The Girls Volleyball team has been working through the ‘24 season successfully. They started off the season right with a big win against Western in five sets.
“We were able to push through and pull the win over Western. This was a really good way for us to start the season and see what things were working well,” said senior Regan McClain.
Since the start of season, they have worked on improving fundamentals and how they work together. As they continue to work through the season, they have grown and bonded together as a team. Team bonding grows the team closer not only off the court, but on the court. They aspire to continue to grow and to continue to win and do their best.
“We have really grown closer from spending a lot of time together and being able to bond during team dinners and bus rides,” McClain said.
During the KHS invite, the VolleyKats placed 3rd and finished 2-2. This was a positive, eye-opening tournament for the team that helped them focus on what they needed to work on and improve. The VolleyKats have focused on communicating and how important it is to communicate on and off the court.
As they are preparing for the big NCC tournament in Richmond, they are continuing to focus on fundamentals and communication. The VolleyKats take on Harrison tomorrow night as they celebrate Senior Night. The JV game will start at 6pm with varsity to follow in the Haworth Gym.
