Spooky season is here and the KHS Student Council and Environmental Club are hosting some fun Halloween activities for KHS and the Kokomo Community.
The Environmental Club will host its annual Haunted Trail on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1.
“We’ll be there from 4:30- 6:30pm for little goblin hours and from 7-9pm for spooky hours,” said club sponsor Vince Lorenz.
The club is offering little goblin hours for free, but they are asking for a donation to their club. Admission to the spooky hours is $10.
Anyone interested in attending the Haunted Trail should enter through the soccer field gates. Environmental Club has been offering the Haunted Trail event since 2022.
“It provides fun for both students, staff and the community. It’s also a great war for the high school students to work with younger students,” Lorenz said. “We hope to see everyone out at the Haunted Trail this Thursday and Friday!”
Another annual event hosted by a KHS organization is Student Council’s Community Trick-or-Treat night. Tonight from 4:30-6:30pm, inside KHS, high school clubs will pass out candy to trick-or-treaters for the eighth year. Each classroom will be decorated with a theme. Some of the themes this year include Bluey, Beetlejuice, Inside Out and Coraline.
“Student Council decided to host Halloween activities to provide people within the community, no matter their age, a safe and welcoming place to be for Halloween,” said club sponsor Leslie Lewis.
While they will not turn anyone away from trick-or-treating, the target audience is KSC children ages 0 through 5th grade.
Come out tonight and tomorrow and support the Environmental Club and Student Council at their Halloween events.
