Next Wednesday, all KHS juniors will take the SAT. The test will take place on March 5 at the school. Juniors will test during periods 1-4. Freshmen and sophomores will be having class as normal. Seniors will be participating in college visits or senior service activities.
Brittany Troyer, Coordinator of College and Career Preparation, encouraged juniors to take time to prepare for the SAT.
“Khan Academy is the official SAT prep site. Students can practice online at https://www.khanacademy.org/digital-sat,” she said.
Though it might not seem like it now, the SAT is an important test for juniors.
“Scores can be used for a variety of purposes: college admissions, scholarships, dual credit eligibility, etc., so it is important to try hard,” Troyer said.
It’s important to get some good rest the night before, eat breakfast and stay focused. Juniors should bring their laptops and chargers and report to their testing locations first thing Wednesday morning.
