Spring Break in Kokomo doesn’t have to be boring

Spring Break in Kokomo doesn't have to be boring

With spring break on the horizon, it’s time to start thinking about how you’ll spend your time away from school. For some, vacations are coming up, but for others, hanging around Kokomo is the plan.

Despite the thought that “there’s nothing to do in Kokomo,” we’ve compiled a list of activities for a fun spring break in town.

Get a sweet treat with your friends

Try a local ice cream or coffee shop during spring break. There are many to choose from and some even offer a great atmosphere to hang out with your friends.

Get outside and have some fun

Hopefully at some point during spring break, we’ll have some nice weather to enjoy the outdoor activities Kokomo has to offer. From walking or biking on a trail to playing basketball or tennis, there are several ways to enjoy the spring weather.

  • Walk your dog at Jackson Morrow Park or Foster Park
  • Play basketball with your friends at Highland Park, Foster Park or Waterworks Park
  • Check out the tennis courts at Foster Park or Highland Park
  • Bike through downtown Kokomo and use the trails around Foster Park

Stay indoors if the weather is wet or cold

Since we live in Indiana, it’s always possible that spring break will be cold or wet. There are plenty of activities to enjoy inside if the weather is less than stellar.

  • Go bowling at Heritage Lanes or try out the new duckpin bowling at Ralphy’s Bowling
  • Watch a movie (with snacks!) at AMC Theatres
  • Get your exercise at Gravity Trampoline Park
  • Look for hidden gems at Treasure Mart
  • Play basketball or go for a run at the YMCA or your favorite gym
  • Paint pottery at Fired Arts in downtown Kokomo
  • Check out the new books or visit the Digital Den at the Kokomo-Howard County Public Library

So no matter what the weather brings, Kokomo has something to offer everyone during spring break. Just remember to relax and recharge with your friends and family.
