The girls’ tennis team kicked off the 2022 season with a 7-0 before falling to Harrison last week. The team is well-poised for success and hope to meet their goals as the season continues.

“As always we want to make a run for the sectional title and make some noise in the NCC,” said head coach Sarah Hemmerich. Since the tennis team doesn’t really have a rival, they feel like the NCC tournament is always important.

Over the weekend, the LadyKats played in an eight-team tournament where they finished fifth. The team was 2-1 on the weekend, with wins over Muncie Burris and Brown County. They are currently 9-3 on the season.

The LadyKats take on Peru at the KHS tennis courts on Wednesday. They’ll face Lapel at home on Thursday before travelling to compete in the NCC tournament this weekend.
